How we make and test MILEPROOF
In short
Every MILEPROOF product is made by a qualified manufacturer, uses skin-contact materials with biocompatibility (skin-safety) reports, and is tested side by side with leading competing products before approval. Our standard is that every key measure, such as adhesion and hold through sweat, is at least as good as the best-selling alternatives. Every production batch is inspected and carries a lot number.
What we test
- Blister Patches: cushioning, edge profile, hold in the shoe, water resistance
- Nipple Guards: hold through sweat and rain, low profile, gentle removal
- Anti-Chafe Film: flexibility, hold through sweat, gentle removal
- Sport Nasal Strips: spring force, adhesion, hold through sweat, gentle removal
- Palm & Finger Patches: grip under friction, flex in the palm, feel
- Silicone Scar Sheets: adhesion after washing, comfort, skin safety
- Silicone Foam Dressing: absorbency, gentle border, cushioning
Quality questions
How does MILEPROOF test its products?
Before approval, each product is tested side by side with leading competing products for the measures athletes care about, such as adhesion, hold through sweat, comfort and removal. Production batches are then inspected against an approved sample.
Are MILEPROOF products tested for skin safety?
We require biocompatibility reports for every material that touches skin. As with any adhesive, stop using a product if your skin reacts.
Can I find my product's batch?
Yes. Every box carries a lot number. Include it when you contact support.
